Borealis polling date set

Greetings to the populace of Borealis

Their Excellencies Aman and Sarah have served you well and in good faith for nearly two years, and they have shown a willingness and commitment to continue serving the Barony and the Kingdom into the future.  The Crowns and Coronets have heard their request and in turn, ask the populace of Borealis: Do you have confidence in their leadership?

On June 4, 2025, representatives of Their Royal Majesties will be on hand to conduct a Confidence Polling of Borealis.  As Seneschal, it is my duty and honour to host them at our regular tavern night and business meeting.  I ask that all populace of Borealis that are members of the Society attend and participate in the polling.  If you are unable to attend, you may contact myself or the Kingdom Seneschal in advance of the polling, and we will provide an alternative to allow you to participate.

Borealis Confidence Polling
Alberta Avenue Community Hall
9210 118 Ave, Edmonton AB

June 4, 2025
7:00 PM through 9:00 PM

Important reminders:

By Society and Kingdom law, only individuals with an active membership in the SCA are permitted to participate in a branch polling.  The representatives of Their Majesties may ask for proof of membership.

If you are unable to attend the polling in person, contact borealis.seneschal@avacal.org or seneschal@avacal.org *before* the polling date, and we will provide alternate arrangements.

If you reside in Borealis but will not be a member at the time of polling, Society and Kingdom law will not allow you to participate directly, but you are still able and encouraged to provide feedback to the Crown by contacting crown@avacal.org.

A branch polling is not a vote.  The results of a polling are confidential, and will be given strong consideration by Their Majesties, but authority over all branch leadership decisions rests with the Crown.

Yours in Service,

Iolar the Sinister
Borealis Seneschal
